Ordinary little Tina, Ordinary Day

Yvonne谢媛媛190110622

In winter, the cold wind was like a sharp sword in the air, blowing the leaves, blowing the people’s skin. Even wearing thick cotton padded clothes, people could hardly resist the biting cold.

"I already feel that my hands are not my own." Tina sat on the back seat of her father's motorcycle, which was heading for school at a fast speed. Tina looked at her bare hands, "I feel a little pain, but if I insist, I'll be at school soon."

It's really hard to bear the cold. Fortunately, the stove in the classroom could give Tina warmth. "Thank goodness someone has set the stove on." Tina rushed to the stove and warm her hands over the fire. Tina's hands had been frozen stiff, and a little blood appears in the lines of her dry skin.

The sensation in the hands was slowly recovering, and Tina's day of school life began.

"Grow up quickly." It seemed that Tina was full of beautiful hopes for the future.

……

Whose shoes stepped on the coal pile? Oh, it's Tina. The students were happily bagging the coal and moving back to the classroom. Active students were always willing to do any activities unrelated to class. Originally, Tina would be as happy as her classmates, but all this would be before she found out that she lost her living expenses today. Three yuan, might not too much, but for Tina, a kid in grade two of primary school, it's enough to make her sad for a long time.

Tina had no lunch money, but Tina didn’t want to borrow money from her classmates. She avoided doing anything that embarrass herself. "It's just a noon and it's over soon." Tina seemed to have decided to starve herself.

Her classmates were waving to her, "Tina, would you like to go with us?"

"Ah, you go first. I'm not hungry."

"OK, we will go. Bye!"

Looking at the shadow of her classmates gradually disappearing, Tina felt a little sad. She decided to try again to see if there would be a surprise for her. She checked the inside and outside of her schoolbag three times and finally found a coin in the interlayer. This is all her hope.

Tina came to the door of the school shop with her "Hope". With only one coin, Tina was not confident enough. "Just buy the cheapest bun." she made a decision and lifted her foot into the small shop.

The small place was crowded with pupils who come to buy snacks at noon. The buyers were noisy and the sellers were busy. It took Tina a lot of effort to finally squeeze into the front row. She waved her coins excitedly. She tried to shout louder, "That bread! That bread!"

There were too many shoppers. Tina was too small. The sellers were too busy to take care of little Tina. It had been a tough time, but there's still hope for Tina's turn.

Of course, the premise of Tina's turn was that she always has the coin. Tina watched helplessly when the seller moved, he knocked off the "Hope" held high by Tina over the counter. The coin was too small and the environment was too noisy. No one knew it existed except Tina. No one heard her heartbreaking voice except Tina.

The accident happened in a moment. Tina was no longer a "customer". She had no reason to stay in the place that gave her hope and disappointed her. Tina didn't choose to go back to the classroom, but sat down a stone by the playground. She needed to get away from the crowd and stay quiet for a while.

The smell of food from the canteen floated in the air, and Tina felt a little hungry. "I only have 3 yuan a day, and a meal in the canteen costs 4 yuan." Such comparison made Tina feel even worse. She envied those students who eat in the canteen.

"Grow up quickly." When she grows up, she should be able to eat very full every day.

……

Tina's father sent her to school in the morning, but after school, Tina had to walk back by herself, because her father didn't get off work. Although Mom and Dad were too busy to take good care of her, Tina was always a sensible and independent child. She could do a lot of things by herself. Tina found a path closest to home and walked for more than half an hour to get home. Looking at the locked door, Tina took out the key, which hung around Tina's neck like a necklace.

For children in grade two of primary school, staying at home alone was always worrying, but Tina was used to it. It was getting dark. Tina turned on all the lights of all rooms to create the appearance of adults at home. "Bad guys, bad guys, go away!" After completing this series of operations, Tina moved a chair, sat under the light, looked up at the clock and watched the second hand turn around, again and again. She was waiting for her parents to go home.

Waiting was always boring, and Tina couldn’t help thinking, "grow up quickly."

……

Why does she expect to grow up?

Perhaps for Tina, growing up means that she can have a pair of warm gloves in winter, close to the warmth and away from the cold.

Perhaps for Tina, growing up means that she can eat what she wants, become tall and will not be easily ignored.

Perhaps for Tina, growing up means that she can make up for her current regret, drive away fear and cure unhappiness.

Perhaps for many people, their childhood is not so carefree.

Perhaps for many people, their constant efforts are just to heal themselves.
