It's not easy to find a job now. After I graduated from school, I went through a lot of trouble to get a sales position in a specific company. The probation period was one month. When it was almost over, I still hadn’t had a single contract signed.

That day, the manager found me and quietly told me that he had a big contract in his hand, but the customer was very troublesome. He couldn’t even send a group people to negotiate. Anyway, I didn't have any other projects, so I thought that I might as well take this list and try. I saw a glimmer of hope again and quickly promised to try my best. When I rushed to my target’s company in a hurry, the receptionist told me that their manager had a mania for cleanliness and told me not to move when I went in. When I came to the manager's office, the receptionist showed me to a nearly bare room. I stood upright and was about to introduce the products. Unexpectedly, the manager frowned, sniffed through his nose twice, and asked unhappily, "How long has it been since you have taken a bath?" Hearing this, my face turned red. I had been on crowded buses and subways on a hot day, and I really smelled of sweat. I just wanted to back away and apologize. However, before I could respond, the manager had picked up a bottle of air freshener and sprayed it on me.

I was kicked out of the office like a fly. If I had been thrown out a month ago, I would have just given up. However, now my future depended on this contract. I had to bear even humiliation, even if I couldn't bear it! I could only laugh at myself and try to figure out what to do next. The next day, I took a bath, changed into a new suit, and bought a bottle of perfume at the mall. I sprayed it on at the entrance of the company before I gathered my strength and pushed the door.

The manager didn't catch me this time. He leaned carelessly against the boss's chair and listened to me absently. Finally, he waved his hand and said, "I'm most annoyed that you salesmen talk about everything separately, one by one. In fact, you don't want my money. I won't deal with such a wrong method!" He kicked me out of the office again. I was a little discouraged about being kicked out twice. It's hard to find a job now! Thinking about the hardships that I had experienced when I first applied for a job, I bit my teeth and decided to bite the bullet and try again.

When I appeared in front of the manager for the third time, he was a little angry: "Why are you here again?"

I smiled bitterly: "I must! If I can't get you to sign this contract, I'll lose my job."

Then I honestly told him about my situation. Finally, I sincerely said, "I really want to keep this job. Aren't you afraid of being a wrongdoer? As long as you sign the contract, I will return my commission to you in the form of a discount."

The manager stared at me for half a minute. At last, he shook his head expressionlessly: "It sounds like the truth, yet, who knows whether it's true or false? "

A little anxious, I said, “Why don't you believe me?"

Unexpectedly, the manager suddenly shouted at me, "Because I hate your face; it's uncomfortable to look at it. Get out of here. I don't want to see you again!"

In the face of the suddenly angry manager, I was scared out of my wits. Tears burst into my eyes, and I was invited out by the reception lady.

The grievances and setbacks that I had suffered in the past month flooded into my heart. I really wanted to cry bitterly. But at this time, the mobile phone suddenly rang. As soon as I saw the number, I quickly dried my tears, adjusted my mood, and pretended to be happy to answer the phone. My mother had called and asked me how I was and whether my work was going well. I said happily that it was very good. I also said that my unit had just been paid and that I wanted to send some to my family, but because I had just joined the company, I had to often go out to socialize with my colleagues, so.... My mother just said happily on the other end of the phone, "Silly child, as long as you live well, your parents can rest assured, so don't worry about us."

When I hung up, my tears burst out again and wouldn't stop. The conditions at home were not good. After a hard month, I hadn't even earned my living expenses. If I lost this job, I estimated that the living expenses of the next month would be a serious problem. The more I thought about it, the more I worried. I wandered aimlessly in the street. Then I made a decision.

When the manager saw me again, he was stunned. "Why are you here again? Didn't I say I didn't want to see your face again?" I reluctantly held up a pictorial in my hand and blocked my face with it. "Sorry, sir, in order to not to make you see my annoying face, I carefully selected this pictorial, which is full of handsome men and women. I'll turn to whichever page you like, as long as you can patiently listen to me introduce the products." After that, I introduced the products myself.

The manager was stunned for a while and quickly interrupted my Bai Cun introduction. "OK, OK, go back and tell your manager that I agree and prepare to sign the contract!"

I was stunned and wondered if I had heard wrong. The manager seemed to see my doubts and said meaningfully, "Because you are the first salesperson who tried to convince me four times, I'm afraid of you!".

I excitedly returned to the company to report the good news to my manager, but he took out a labor contract from the drawer. Seeing me confused, the manager patted me on the shoulder and said, "The customer you went to see is actually our boss. He asked you to sign this contract." He reached out his hand and congratulated me. The manager told me that it is normal for young people who have just joined the work to have no experience and relationships and can't sign a contract in a month, so the boss will give them another chance. He wants to give these students who have just left the school a lesson to let them know that entering the society is no better than studying in school. Any kind of customer might be encountered. Only those who can bear it can become a qualified salesperson.

I know that everything has just begun. If you want to keep this job, you have to work hard by yourself. Now at least I understand that only by sticking with it can be there be hope. Probably, our hope is next.
